I purchased a pair of faux leather joggers online, and I decided to select the size up from what I normally wear, since they probably wouldn’t have any give.
It was not the right decision. They did not have the fit I desired, so they hung in my closet for about 6 months or so.
Then one day I had the idea to rework them into something different. I discovered a beautiful copper color on the inside of the pants that I believed needed to be exposed. So, I cut them into shorts and created a cuff for a contrast in color.
I used the remaining fabric along with fabric I pulled from a blouse I hadn’t worn in a while to make a top to the shorts.
I threw on a pair of heels and played around with a few styles. I loved each one of them.
…and that’s the story of how the once unloved red faux leather joggers became a very loved reworked short set.
